It is only three weeks since the last release, and we are happy to deliver our xmas gift qooxdoo 0.6.4 to you right in time.
The most exciting new feature is full support of internationalization. You can now localize your applications in an extremely easy yet powerful way. While internally the well-known and mature "gettext" tools are used, you are not bothered with the clumsiness often encountered in the process to internationalize a custom application. qooxdoo's build system, which has been restructured and extended, is at its most impressive when dealing with internationalization.
The entire framework itself is localized, including multi-lingual versions of typical widgets like DateChooser or ColorSelector. To demonstrate the feature, the newly created "Feed reader" application as well as the extended "Showcase" example support languages like English, German, Spanish, French, and others. The locales for the four languages mentioned are included by default in the qooxdoo SDK archive. Any other languages a user requires for his/her custom application are automatically downloaded from an official standardization site (http://unicode.org) and seemlessly integrated. Thanks to community contributions, the framework currently includes translations to Italian, Russian, Swedish and Turkish.

As usual we provide migration support for a smooth transition from older qooxdoo releases.
Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
