The week in qooxdoo (2012-11-16)

Welcome to the weekly status update.

You have certainly seen the new releases qooxdoo 2.1 as well as 2.0.3, which shipped two days ago. We hope you enjoy them already.

There has been some great feedback by people. If you’re also happy with the availability of the new versions, please let the others and us know: e.g. leave a comment to the announcement, retweet or favor at Twitter, like it or share it on Facebook. Thanks!

For your apps, please consider to take advantage of the new releases soon. qooxdoo 2.0.3 is a drop-in replacement for any app that runs on a previous qooxdoo 2.0.x release. qooxdoo 2.1 is the latest stable version, with many enhancements, so it’s the most reasonable thing to migrate to that release directly. It should be a fine experience to switch to the latest versions, so stay up-to-date and fight legacy code.

As you might know already, qooxdoo is not only available as several packages to download. The SDK can also be integrated as a public Maven artifact; the server-side features of qooxdoo can simply be installed for Node.js as a npm module.

That’s it for now. Stay tuned for more to come.
